Through my eyes...
When I was in Middle School, I volunteered at a retirement home and played games with the residents. It was amazing to see their faces light up when I walked into the room. I loved hearing their stories and it helped me to deal with the fact that my own grandparents lived far away. The best way to get outside of yourself and see the "big picture" is to do community service. Find something that you are genuinely interested in and let yourself be passionate.

Girls gain an average of 40 pounds during puberty. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it isn't! In fact, it is perfectly healthy and normal. Girls go through these changes at different times, so try not to compare yourself. If you'd rather run down the street naked than stand on a scale, remember that you are not a number! (This applies to clothes sizes too!)
